I am in the IT industry and have enjoyed the hobby of model railroading since I was a kid. This is my 3rd attempt at building a layout, my last 2 attempts were mildly successful before circumstances forced my to sell most of equipment.
I live in Tauranga, New Zealand with my Partner and step son, with a mad keen model railroading father a few kilometers away.Which is about all the personal information i'll be sharing...I work in IT and so I have an acute distrust of nearly every website that collects personal information or allows it to be published; however that particular rant is for another day.
When it comes to my hobby I don't go for all this prototypical stuff, to me it's boring and limits my imagination. As far as I am concerned the day my hobby becomes hard work is the day it is no longer a hobby!
This blog is as much a record for me as it is anything else, so I'm sure most of what is in it is dead boring! Please feel free to share your opinion, good bad or indifferent...although to be honest, if it's particularly negative it's unlikely to get approved by me...just because I can.
